New record for the Z event on Twitch
The 7th edition of Z Event, the charity event organized on the Twitch platform, took place last weekend, from 8 to 11 September, at the Palais des Congrès in Montpellier.
Event Z was created by streaming experts Adrien Nougaret (ZeratoR) and Alexandre Dachary (Dach) and had its first edition in 2016. Divided into 2 parts, the event starts with a showcase and is followed by a video game marathon in streaming for more than 50 hours. Participating streamers broadcast live content throughout the weekend and encourage viewers to join for charity.
During the 6th edition a record is broken and € 10,064,480 is collected for the Action Contre La Faim association. Also this year is a new record obtained for the Z Event and its 57 streamers engaged since 10,182,126 euros were raised for Sea Shepherd, LPO, WWF, Time For The Planet and The SeaCleaners, five associations working for the Protection Environmental. From the first hour of streaming, the counter had already reached the milestone of 1 million euros raised.
To raise as much money as possible, participating streamers set “Donation Goals”, challenges that they are obliged to complete if the pot reaches a certain level. Viewers also have the opportunity to purchase Z Event t-shirts, the proceeds of which are donated to publishing associations. In addition to the participating streamers, singers Big Flo and Oli offered a concert at the start of the event to attract even more audiences.
Event Z therefore seems well on its way to trying to break yet another record next year …
