The return of the three Clermont musicians, Antoine Bacherot, Gaspard Baradel and Josselin Hazard has taken on an American accent. I am currently in New York, a city with many clubs, the holy grail for any self-respecting jazz player.
Antoine Bacherot, Gaspard Baradel and Josselin Hazard, three jazz players particularly active on the Clermont scene, begin the season in the American era. At the invitation of James Cammack, (the double bass player of the great Ahmad Jamal) with whom they maintain excellent relations, they stay in New York, the epicenter of world jazz, for a series of concerts in The Katie’s club, under the name of Jim Cammack and the French connection.
Study session and sightseeing
Their host even concocted a recording session for them in a New York studio that he attends regularly. The recording obviously went well and can only hope that the sound recorded from this session will soon be available for listening. The trio took advantage of this visit to New York to stroll and, of course, attend the most legendary jazz clubs for a sort of necessarily enriching initiatory journey.
