Telset.id, Jakarta – Are black holes in space a wormhole? So far, black holes are often associated with wormholes.
Are black holes in outer space really entrances to wormholes? Scientists and physicists are constantly trying to solve the puzzle.
In science fiction, space travelers regularly penetrate wormholes in space and time connected by two black holes.
Black holes are very dense celestial bodies. The light could not escape his grasp. Wormholes are a solution to the equations of the theory of relativity.
Returning to the question, are black holes in space really the entrance to wormholes? The short answer to this question is probably no.
However, the mathematics of the universe does not necessarily rule it out. The only thing in the center of a black hole is a singularity, a point of infinite density.
In theory, a black hole could be paired with a mirror twin, commonly called a white hole, to form what is called a wormhole.
Those theoretical wormholes wouldn’t look like those depicted in science fiction. Traditional wormholes are believed to be extremely unstable.
Some physicists have suggested that wormholes may become more stable if formed from rotating black holes.

Einstein-Rosen Bridge
Scientists first discovered black holes not through observations in the universe, but through the mathematics of Einstein’s general theory of relativity.
The equation shows that if you break down enough matter into a small enough volume, gravity will dominate every other force.
Gravity also shrinks matter into very small points, known as singularities. Nokeep in mind that black holes are one-way travel.
Once you crossed the border known as the event horizon, you could no longer escape. However, Einstein had the theory of him.
It was once thought that black holes were just a trick of Einstein’s equations. Astronomical observations have finally revealed that black holes exist in the universe.
However, the same math also allows for the exact opposite of a black hole, a white hole that still has a singularity and a horizon.
Instead of falling and finding it impossible to escape, with a white hole, you would never be able to reach the event horizon from the outside.
The connection of singularity pairs of black holes and white holes forms one of the simplest types of wormholes, namely the Einstein-Rosen bridge.
Not very useful
Unfortunately, the Einstein-Rosen bridge is not very useful for crossing the cosmos. The reason, the wormhole entrance behind the event horizon.
Since you cannot enter from the side of the white hole, you have to fall into the black hole to enter. Once it crosses the event horizon, it freezes.
In other words, like The phone quote from Live scienceTuesday (9/13/2022), if you enter a wormhole, you will be trapped inside forever.
Another problem with the Einstein-Rosen bridge is its stability. “This bridge is a kind of temporary wormhole,” said Samir Mathur, a physicist.
According to Ohio State University scientists, the bridge was crushed before any object could use it to move from side to side.
This instability exists because the creation of a wormhole requires a very precise and careful arrangement of the material. Anything that interferes causes collapse.
The wormhole tears on its own like a stretched rubber band faster than the speed of light, preventing anything from traveling downward.
Furthermore, most physicists think that white holes do not exist in the universe. Unlike the “brother”, white holes tend to be very unstable.
According to the math, once even a small amount of matter falls, the white hole instantly explodes. If formed naturally, white holes will not last long.
The combination of the uncertainty of the existence of white holes, the instability of the Einstein-Rosen bridge and the relative uselessness gives rise to the existence of wormholes.

The singularity rotates
Perhaps there is a way to build a wormhole from a more complicated type of black hole. “All black holes rotate,” said mathematician Roy Kerr.
The New Zealander was the first to solve the math for a spinning black hole. At the center is the extreme centrifugal force.
The extreme centrifugal force spreads the singularity like a point in a ring. It is possible that the “singularity of the ring” is the entrance to the wormhole.
“The Kerr hole singularity is surrounded by an ‘inner horizon’ surrounded by an ‘outer horizon’. People believe in the profound horizon; it’s not a stable concept, “she added.
Kerr continued, a small amount of falling material would completely change the region within the horizon and thus change the singularity.
The final outcome of this instability is unclear. If matter falls, the singularity of the ring faces enormous gravitational pull and extreme centrifugal force. [SN/HBS]
