The newspaper L’Equipe on Tuesday (9/13/2022) reported that Mbappe’s contract at PSG was only revealed until 2024, not 2025 as previously reported. However, he has the option to extend it until 2025.
With that situation, Mbappe could be released from PSG next season so he won’t move for free in 2024. This is where Madrid’s name is back in the news.

The Blancos are the team that came close to signing the 23-year-old last summer. Mbappé was even rumored to be determined to move to Madrid, but turned around due to the persuasion of French President Emmanuel Macron.
When asked about this problem, Ancelotti laughed, but then underlined the satisfaction he has for the squad. There are already Vinicius Junior and Rodrygo prepared for the long term.
“I surrender! I surrender being asked again!” Ancelotti responded as quoted by ESPN.
“To tell the truth, we are happy with the number of strikers we have, especially the young ones. Having Karim (Benzema) is certainly nice, but when the youngsters come in it’s even more fun.”
“What Vinicius and Rodrygo are doing is really interesting. We don’t think about other players now, there is no question. We are focused on what’s available, besides the players,” explained Ancelotti.
