COCHISE COUNTY, ARIZONA: An Arizona man reportedly admitted killing someone while greeting police from the middle of a desert highway because he was “too lazy” to bury the body. At around 1:00 am on Friday, September 9, deputies from the Cochise County Sheriff’s Office were greeted by 52-year-old Jay Albery Stevens, who was about 30 minutes from the Mexican border in southeastern Utah, Arizona, at a intersection outside the town of McNeal.

Stevens directed police to the body of his stepfather, who had been shot in the chest with a .40 caliber pistol, who was lying outside a nearby house in the town of Pearce, where he had been taken into custody. He told investigators he committed the murder after his stepfather accused him of not reading the Bible, but it was actually the result of “many years of putting up with this shit.”
