In this sense, Minister Alencastre reiterated that urea “exists in the commercial houses of the country”, which is why in the next few days the individual monetary support called Fertiabono will be launched, guaranteeing the fertilization of crops to 370 thousand small producers nationwide.
Alencastre also indicated that the decline in urea purchases is being used as a pretext to “incorporate other interests”, explaining that it was the Italian company Unionsped that reversed the purchase process.
“Due to the 46% shortage of urea fertilizer globally, it was not possible to accept the tender for the delivery of the reported product, as our supplier did not come to date today to give us complete and absolute confirmation that it could make the delivery within the indicated periods ”, indicates the letter sent to the minister.
POSSIBLE WAIVER OF MIDAGRI
On the speculations, on his possible resignation from office, Minister Alencastre indicated that everything depends on President Pedro Castillo, because his resignation letter is signed from the first day he was sworn in.
“This is the president’s decision. At all times since I was sworn in and proposed to attend this office, the resignation letter has been on the table and it has been signed, ”he commented.
