Could this Russian retreat also mean some kind of deception? Couldn’t a sudden attack, for example, on Zaporizhzhia follow?
Such a question arose in the TV24 program “Special Edition”. The answer was provided by Jānis Slaidiņš, captain of the NBS, staff officer of the National Guard.
“I don’t know what kind of manipulative maneuver it is, when you leave an entire battalion of tanks, reactive artillery systems, mountains of ammunition in one day.”

LETA reports that this month the Ukrainian military has recaptured more than 6,000 square kilometers of territory occupied by Russia, Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelenskiy announced in his video speech Monday evening.
“From the first days of September to today, our soldiers have already liberated more than 6,000 square kilometers of territory in the east and south of Ukraine. The advance of our troops [uz priekšu] continue, “said the president.
The Ukrainian army achieved significant success in the counter-offensive in the Kharkiv region, recapturing dozens of settlements, including the cities of Izyum, Kupyansk and Balaklia. It also made significant progress in the Kherson region, where the Ukrainian army recaptured 500 square kilometers of territory.
