A statement by a member of the country’s Assembly of Experts, Hashem Hashemzadeh Harisi, has sparked more controversy over the reality of the Iranian leader’s health condition.
Harisi told the Iranian daily Hamdali on Sunday that “the members of the Assembly of Experts did not meet the guide for his convenience and not to waste time”.
He stressed that Khamenei did not find it necessary to meet Council members and deliver a speech, noting that this meeting is periodic and held twice a year in September and March.
Harisi’s statements contradict what was published by the Tasnim Agency of the Revolutionary Guards, which confirmed that what was said about a scheduled meeting was only a “rumor”, noting that there was virtually no scheduled meeting of Khamenei with members of the Assembly. of the experts.
