SC Freiburg climbs to the top, Eintracht Frankfurt does not give RB Leipzig any chance

After the fifth day of the Bundesliga, FC Bayern Munich are no longer the leader of the table. SC Freiburg took top spot on Saturday with a 3-2 (0-1) win at Bayer Leverkusen. Monaco finished in the highest game

to 1. FC Union Berlin not more than 1: 1 (1: 1).

At the top behind Sport-Club, Borussia Dortmund, Bayern and Union, the 1. FC Köln remain after a 4-2 (3-1) win at VfL Wolfsburg. Last VfL Bochum lost 2-0 (0-0) to Werder Bremen, VfB Stuttgart and FC Schalke 04 drew 1-1 (1-1). It also seems pivotal for RB Leipzig. The cup winner lost the duel between two Champions League holders at Eintracht Frankfurt clearly 0: 4 (0: 2) and has nothing to do with the top spots for the moment.

In the twelfth minute, Sheraldo Becker gave Berlin the lead with a direct acceptance after a free kick, Joshua Kimmich (15th) quickly equalized. The game flattened out slightly in the second half, with both teams struggling to create compelling scoring chances.

Kerem Demirbay (16th) first met Bayer Leverkusen. Shortly after the break, however, Matthias Ginter (48th) and Michael Gregoritsch (51st) gave Freiburg the lead for the first time before Patrik Schick (65th) in the meantime scored again to equalize. Ritsu Doan (72nd) brought the sports club forward.

Frankfurt outclassed Leipzig 4-0

Leipzig, still winless away from home, disappointed across the board in Frankfurt – and just three days before their first Champions League group match against Shakhtar Donetsk. Daichi Kamada (16th), Sebastian Rode (22nd), Tuta (67th) and Rafael Borré (84th) scored a penalty for the Europa League winner in Frankfurt, who made his debut in the premier class on Wednesday.

In Wolfsburg, Lukas Nmecha (2nd) gave VfL the lead after assisting Bartol Franjic. But Dejan Ljubicic (22nd) and Paulo Otávio of Wolfsburg (32nd) both scored an own goal and turned the game in favor of FC. Florian Kainz (45 + 2) even followed. Lukas Nmecha (79 ‘) made the game thrilling again briefly before Sargis Adamyan (81’) made the decision.

Chris Führich (18th) scored 1-0 for Stuttgart, Simon Terodde (21st) then scored for Schalke. The VfB had to continue with ten players in the last 20 minutes: Josha Vagnoman saw the Giallorossi (67th). In Bochum, Niclas Füllkrug (86th and 90th + 2 penalties) scored in the final for Bremen’s victory. The VfL is still waiting for the first point. (dpa)
