A carousel, a ghost train, a Ferris wheel and numerous other attractions can be experienced by amusement park enthusiasts from 16 to 20 September at the “Stunikenmarkt” in Hamm. The fair takes place right in the city center around the Pauluskirche and in the adjacent Santa Monica Square. On Fridays there is also free beer and free rides when it opens – on Tuesdays there is also a family day. There will also be fireworks throughout the day.
Fair in NRW 2022: Sim Jü in Werne – the largest folk festival in the Lippas since 1362

The “Sim Jü” fair is the largest popular festival in the Lippe. In 2022, the date is scheduled for October 22-25. Visitors can then stroll from one stand to another and wait for one or the other tour. Incidentally, the folk festival can look back on a long history: Sim-Jü has been celebrated since the market rights were granted in 1362.

The “All Saints’ Fair in Soest” will take place for the 684th time this year from 2 to 6 November. The folk festival has long since achieved cult status in the Ruhr area. At the end of autumn, there will be a lively hustle and bustle again in the city center of Soest: on 50,000 square meters there are numerous food stalls and rides with up to 400 showmen to discover. Incidentally, the All Saints’ Fair in Soest is the largest fair in the historic center of Europe. About one million people participate in the festival every year.
Fair in NRW 2022: which crown rules apply?
Since Sunday, April 3, 2022, there have been major eases of the corona virus in NRW. For example, the obligation to wear face masks indoors has been largely abolished and there are hardly any access restrictions anymore (3G or 2G rule). At the fair or folk festival, visitors are not required to wear a mask by law. In addition, non-immunized people can also participate in the events. Depending on the fair or popular festival, the organizers can also enact stricter rules. It should be noted that the mask can still be worn on a voluntary basis.

The Beecker fair was supposed to take place in Duisburg in July. However, as announced by the organizer on Facebook on May 25, the event must be canceled. The reason is that too few showmen signed up for the show.
