German athlete and Olympic medalist in system diving, Jan Hempel, spoke of being sexually abused by his coach Werner Langer because he was 11 many years previous. Hempel mentioned this in the movie “Abuse – Sexual Violence in German Swimming”, which aired on ARD on August 18.
