1. Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma
Non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma is a group of white blood cell cancers that can cause lumps in the neck. These classic B symptoms include fever, night sweats, and unintentional weight loss. Other symptoms that may occur include painless, swollen lymph nodes, enlarged liver, enlarged spleen, rash, itching, fatigue, and bloating.
2. Thyroid cancer
Thyroid cancer is one of the most common causes of neck lumps, when normal thyroid cells become abnormal and start growing out of control. This condition is the most common form of endocrine cancer with several subtypes. Symptoms include a lump in the throat, cough, hoarseness, pain in the throat or neck, difficulty swallowing, swollen lymph nodes in the neck, swelling or swelling of the thyroid gland.
3. Lipoma
Lipoma is a disease that causes lumps in the neck. Lipomas are soft to the touch and easy to move when pressed with the finger. It is small, just under the skin and pale or colorless. These lumps are usually found on the neck, back, or shoulders and are painful if they grow into nerves.
4. Throat cancer
Throat cancer is also one of the most common causes of neck lumps. It also includes cancers of the voice box, vocal cords, and other parts of the throat, such as the tonsils and oropharynx. Throat cancer can manifest itself in the form of squamous cell carcinoma or adenocarcinoma. This results in voice changes, difficulty swallowing, weight loss, sore throat, cough, and swollen lymph nodes. It is more common in people with a history of smoking, excessive alcohol consumption, even vitamin A deficiency, exposure to asbestos, oral HPV, and poor dental hygiene.
