Police arrested a man on Friday afternoon on suspicion of drug dealing. The suspect was in possession of several bags of drugs.

Fire brigade removes gas bottles from water in Leiden
Three gas bottles were found in the water along Haarlemmerweg in Leiden on Friday afternoon. Passers-by called the fire brigade after seeing air bubbles in the water. When emergency services arrived, divers from the fire service found the three bottles in the water. Later it turned out to be an oxygen bottle and two bottles of acetylene.

After the bottles were lifted from the water, the municipality of Leiden disposed of them. According to a spokesperson for the fire service, the three gas cylinders slid into the water during work.

Scooter rider injured after being hit by car
On the Bezuidenhoutseweg in The Hague, two residents of The Hague aged 31 and 32 were injured on a scooter when they were hit by a car. The collision took place around 11:35 p.m., when the two were driving on the road towards the center. At that moment a passenger car, driven by a 28-year-old from The Hague, arrived in the opposite direction. According to the police, she ended up on the wrong side of the road for unknown reasons.

The driver of the scooter tried to avoid the car, but to no avail. Both occupants ended up on the road surface a short distance away and were injured in the accident. The men were taken to hospital with unknown injuries. An air ambulance was also called in for the accident. The driver had to take a blood test. The results of this are not yet known.
