The construction company “Piche”, known as the developer of business parks in Mārupe, has decided to build apartments and terraced houses as well. Currently, the company’s first apartment complex “Dižozoli” is being built in Mārupe, the first house of which is planned to be put into operation by the end of this year, and another one will be built next to it.
Pēteris Senkāns, the chairman of the board of “Piche” company, states that, looking at the forecasted heating and electricity prices, not only every resident should think about saving, but house builders should also pay attention to it.
“Heating in the apartments will be provided with warm floors, but the heat source will be combined – we will use both “Latvijas Gāze” and “Latvijas Propāna gas” resources. Currently, propane gas is more than twice as cheap as natural gas. Also, when propane gas burns, it releases three times more heat, which will allow significant savings at the moment. If natural gas prices fall, it will be possible to switch to another type of heating. We will also try to save on the operating costs of the common areas – electricity will be provided in them from the solar panels located on the roof of the building,” explains P. Senkāns.
Ideas that have already proven themselves successfully in business parks have been realized in the housing of the apartment complex. For example, the buildings will have a glass facade, which is a long-lasting solution. Also, the apartments are maximally “smart”, for example, smoke detectors and intercom video devices can be connected to the resident’s smart device, so that the situation in the apartment can be monitored remotely using an app. It will also be possible to control heating, ventilation and electricity from the phone.
