Beware of Monkeypox, Health Insurance Minimizes Financial Risk

Parapuan.co – It’s an epidemic right now monkeypox or monkey pox become the center of attention of people in various parts of the world.

It started since World Health Organization (WHO) has declared monkeypox a global health emergency.

This infectious disease outbreak is considered an emergency and international cooperation is needed to contain the spread of the virus.

According to WHO data, as of July 27, 2022, there were more than 18,000 cases of monkeypox spread in 78 countries.

The highest cases were in Europe (>70%) and followed by the Americas (25%) which was dominated by the United States.

Until early August 2022, the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia (Kemenkes RI) said monkeypox had not been found in Indonesia.

However, the Ministry of Health appealed to the public to remain vigilant.

Monkeypox itself is transmitted by various things, such as contact with rodents and primates infected with the virus, contact with rashes, sores, or human body fluids, and many more.

Pregnant women can also transmit to the fetus through the placenta.
