Mathieu Valbuena made the decisive eleven and thus sent his team to the play-off for the group stage against Cypriot Apollon Limassol. Slovan is fighting for a place in the European Conference League group against HŠK Zrinjski Mostar from Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The visitors were the first to get into the big box, with a cross in front of the goal at the end of the fifth minute, and for a while they took care of the first shot of the match. But she went above and beyond. In the ninth minute, home team Kankava was more accurate, sending a sharp shot from behind the penalty area, but it went straight to Vaclík. He had a slight problem later with Chakvetadze’s long-range attempt, when the ball fell out of his hands. Fouls gradually began to increase, especially on the part of Olympiakos – the guests sent Barseghjan or the escaping Čakvetdaze to the ground. He was also involved in two other promising actions, when he first sent a pass to the running Kuck and later tried it again from a distance at the Czech goalkeeper. Immediately, the guests had two opportunities, they also won a corner kick, but this time the standard situation did not work out for them. El-Arabi was lying in the Slovan penalty area for a while, but referee Nyberg did not whistle for a foul. Slovan put the opponent under pressure at the end of the first half, but the players went to the locker room with a score of 0:0.

The second half was opened by an attacking combination of Čakvetadze, Barsejjan and Green, who headed just above in a small area. However, the goal joy came two minutes later on the other side – Zinckernagel shot from behind Kankava to the right post. A surprised Chovan reached for the ball, but was unable to stop it. After an hour of play, the visitors were again under pressure, but the effort of the “Whites” lacked a good ending. Subsequently, the meeting was interrupted by a short skirmish between the players, when the home team demanded a foul on Green. He was with Kund at the beginning of the conflict. Both received a yellow card, along with Abena (Slovan) and Cisse (Olympiakos). The end of the second half was clearly in the direction of the home team, they got into several clear chances and the ball was finally scored by Šaponjijč behind Vaclík’s back, who converted Agb’s cross from a volley in stoppage time. However, “Belasí” entered extra time at a numerical disadvantage – Abena received a second yellow card for a fight with Soares.

Extra time did not bring much action in its opening and the second goal by Piraeus did not appear very dangerous. A center from the middle of the field found Masouras, who headed the ball to the edge of the five. From there, he got it behind Chovan’s back with a Camaro slide. However, after a short break, Green scored and scored the second goal in this double match. After a cross from a direct kick, Kašia found him with a header and the Englishman did not hesitate from close range. In the shootout, Ramirez and Šaponjič won first and the home team led 2:0. However, Kuck did not convert the third eleven, and later in the fifth set, Čakvetadze did not convert when the score was 3:3, and the match was decided by Valbuena.
