“We invest so much energy in our community, with our young people, precisely to allow them to progress, to take other trajectories than that of crime, and to see this young person, at the dawn of his life. adult, to die riddled with bullets on the spot, almost, it is appalling”, she says.

The Montreal-North Community Economic Development Corporation (CDEC) also offers its condolences in a Facebook post.

The organization describes him as “generous, affable and involved”.

“He had taken our training because he wanted to set up his hockey organization to share his passion with young people who do not have the opportunity to practice this sport, we are proud to have counted him among us”, writes the CDEC in its Facebook post.

Several other acquaintances of Jayson Colin wrote to be in shock to learn of his death.
