Dirty jogging, plaster on his arm and mask on his nose, Alan * appears before the court of La Roche-sur-Yon, this Thursday August 11, 2022.
The facts of which he is accused date back to January 26 and occurred in The rock on yon.
To 1:30 a.m.this 40-year-old is located at rue de La Fontaine, near Place Simone-Veil.
He wanted to move his car
His car is parked there, but the man wants to move it about a kilometer further, in order to bring it closer to the house of one of his friends.
Problem, Alan * has just spent the evening chaining beers and glasses of vodka. But that doesn’t stop him from driving. He turns on the engine and then begins to drive, but the situation deteriorates very quickly.
For good reason, the individual causes an accident by hitting two cars in quick succession. According to several witnesses on the spot, he tries to flee in stride. The police of La Roche-sur-Yon intervene on the spot and manage to question him. Alan blows the ball. The result ? 1,16 mg d’alcool per liter of exhaled air, i.e. 2,30 g in the blood.
“You have to keep the 2.30 g”
In court, the defendant admitted the facts, but denied having tried to flee at the time of the accident. He specifies that the collision is due to the fact that he did not have his eyes on the road, insofar as he had just received a telephone call. “Did you drive with 2.30 g of alcohol in your blood and on top of that you were looking at your phone? “, plague the president of the court before evoking his heavy consumption of alcohol. “You have to keep the 2.30 g, it’s huge”. “It’s not usual,” Alan replies.
“The defendant is not aware of the danger and has nothing to shake the Highway Code. It is those who are alcoholic who kill the others on the road ”, reminds him of the public prosecutor.
Found guilty, the man was sentenced to three months in prison with probation for five years. His driver’s license is revoked. When he passes it again, he will have to drive with a car equipped with an alcohol interlock device. He must also pay a fine of 80 €.
