Today is a really big day for Xiaomi. The company has launched several new products and some of them are coming our way from Redmi and Mijia. For example, apart from many Xiaomi products, The company also released Redmi K50 Ultra phone.
Key Features of Redmi K50 Ultra
Redmi K50 Ultra has three colors: Trace Silver, Elegant Black and Ice Blue. It uses a metal ring around the camera and deeply curved AG glass. The phone is 8.6 mm thick and weighs 202 grams.
Inside, the protagonist has a Snapdragon 8 + Gen 1 processor. However, this is not the selling point of the phone as there are many phones with this chip on board. The total heat dissipation area of the machine is 30000mm². In fact, when testing the phone to play “Genshin Impact,” the maximum temperature was 46 degrees Celsius, while the average frame rate was 58.03 fps.
Another selling point of the Redmi K50 Ultra is the 1.5K rectilinear display that is exclusively customized. The latter has a pixel density of 446PPI, supports high-frequency PWM dimming, has passed SGS low optical fatigue certification, and the screen power consumption is almost the same as 1080P.
Under the hood, the phone houses a 5,000mAh battery, which supports 120W fast charging. Also, Xiaomi has equipped it with a self-developed Surge P1 charging chip. The latter can be found in their premium models.
Camera and more
As for the camera, the Redmi K50 Ultra has a 20MP front lens. At the back, there is a 108MP main camera (Samsung S5KHM6, OIS), an 8MP wide-angle lens, and a 2MP macro lens.
In other aspects, the Redmi K50 Ultra has returned to under-screen fingerprint recognition, it comes with two stereo speakers and an X-axis linear drive, supports NFC, infrared remote control, retains a 3.5mm headphone jack, and runs MIUI 13 system . Also, it has an IP53 dust and water resistance rating.
We are dealing with a cost effective smartphone. So the prices do not surprise much:

- 8 GB + 256 GB: 3,099 yuan ($460);
- 12 GB + 256 GB: 3,399 yuan ($ 505);
- 12 GB + 512 GB: 3,699 yuan ($549).
Incidentally, the company also introduced a special Mercedes-AMG F1 Team Championship Edition. It is available in a single 12GB + 512GB memory version and costs 4199 Yuan ($623).
