Nour al-Sharif was born in the Khalifa district of Cairo in 1946, his real name is Muhammad Jaber Muhammad Abdullah, and he began acting in school, where he joined the acting team, and was a player in the football team of the Cubs of Zamalek Club, and without his love for acting, he would have turned to football, and then He joined the Faculty of Commerce, but his interest in art was the reason behind leaving it and joining the Higher Institute of Dramatic Arts, where he was ranked first.
In 1976, he obtained a diploma in theatrical arts from the Higher Institute with an excellent grade. During his studies at the institute, he was acquainted with the artist Saad Ardash, who was credited with Nour in his entry into art, where he nominated him to work with him in a small role in the play “Back Streets”, as chosen by the director. Kamal Eid for acting in the play “Romeo and Juliet”, which was introduced to Adel Imam during its rehearsals, who in turn presented it to director Hassan Imam to participate with him in the movie “Qasr Al-Shawq”“.
Among his most prominent films are: “The Destiny”, “Execution Brigade”, “Karnak”, “The Yacoubian Building”, “Bus Driver”, “Hot Night”, “Circle of Revenge”, “Naji Al-Ali”, “The Grandson”, “Secondary First” “My Love Always”, “Egyptian Hadoth”, “Al-Sukaria”, “Qasr Al-Shawq”, “Shame”, “Time of Hatem Zahran”, “People of the Summit”, “Deer’s Blood”, “Blood on the Asphalt”, “Stranger in the Betty, “School Hooligan”, “Baby Doll Night”, “Prisoner Transit“.
