The Municipal Administration of La Ceja continues with the sum of actions to contribute to the development of the southern part of the municipality from the transformation of educational institutions, that is why they carried out the delivery to the educational community of the San José district the modernization of the facade and the new rural library, a dream that had an investment of $209,404,098.
“It is a dream to have a space for the community and for the students where we can strengthen reading, something very important for these moments is to finally have a rural public library. It is a benefit for everyone and even more so for this sector so far from the urban area“, expressed Manuela Ocampo, representative of the students of the Institution.
With the aim of transforming the spaces of educational infrastructure, these works are carried out with meaning so that children and young people from the town center and the villages of La Miel, La Playa, San Rafael, La Loma and El Higuerón, with the aim that they have a quality education that allows them to continue building a society of integrity and values.
For Mayor Nelson Carmona Lopera, today began new opportunities for the township of San José, full of learning and great challenges for the community. “The rural public library was a necessity more than 10 years ago and today we can say that it is a reality“.
Finally, it is worth mentioning that thanks to the Municipal Administration, San José is strengthened with the paving of the last kilometer of the Rancho Triste – San José road, the health post that has benefited more than 6,000 people from all the villages, construction near the 2,000 linear meters of footprint plate, modernization of the school, projection of the construction of the San José park and the aqueduct and sewerage plan in its second phase.
