An often underestimated part of YouTube is the Community Tab. The advantage of (frequently) posting community posts is that in addition to subscribers, non-subscribers are also reached. In addition, people can subscribe directly when they see a community post from a new channel. See below what that looks like next to a community post from NPO 3.
Community posts can consist of a video link, image, poll, or a so-called image poll. This last option has not been around for very long, but the first tests with this kind of poll look promising. They would generate more interaction than ‘normal’ polls where no images are used. Why? Because they fill almost the entire screen on mobile! This makes it almost impossible to miss the poll. Simply adding an image can already make a big difference to the interaction of your followers. One of the first Dutch examples of a image poll is that of the ANWB.
The only downside of image polls is that at the moment these can only be uploaded via Android phones. Due to the increased interaction on such an image poll, we think it’s worth a try!
