Ostrava’s squad was strengthened by Croatian midfielder Miškovič

Croatian midfielder Robert Miškovič became the new reinforcement of Ostrava’s footballers. The 22-year-old offensive player transferred to Baník from NK Istra and signed a two-year contract with the club with an option.

Mišković was a stable player in Istria’s starting line-up last season. He scored four goals for the team from Pula. “He is an offensive player. He most often starts in midfield, but he is also capable of playing, and has played, on the wing as well.” stated sports director Alois Grussmann for the club’s website.

Mišković grew up in Ingolstadt, Germany, but at the age of sixteen he went to Croatia and played in the league there for Osijek, Dinamo Zagreb and most recently Istra.

“We had him on the list of selected players for a long time. We probed him for several months, through various sources, and before the negotiations took place, we were also looking at him directly in Croatia. The negotiations then dragged on a bit due to the interest of other clubs, but today we finally managed to get it done on paper with Istra. We believe that he will quickly adapt to us and will be a reinforcement.” added Grussmann.

Mišković could start for Baník already in Saturday’s match against Zlín.
