In the latest financial report Activision Blizzardit was revealed that income game PC and console narrowly lost to mobile game revenue.
PC and console games, in terms of graphics quality, are indeed much higher than mobile games for cellphones and tablets. However, in terms of income, games with mediocre graphic quality on mobile have become a money machine for developers.

Compared to Blizzard’s revenue in the same period of only USD 296 million, or even Activision with revenues of USD 600 million, King’s income is clearly greater.
Activision made the most money from consoles, with $360 million in revenue. Meanwhile, from PC and mobile, the revenues are USD 100 million and USD 135 million, respectively. Activision’s revenue from this mobile game is most likely to come from Call of Duty: Mobile.
Meanwhile, Blizzard gets quite a lot of income from Diablo Immortal, which, although not very popular, can generate revenues of USD 100 million. Revenue from their PC game titles is $229 million, and only $19 million from consoles.
When viewed as a whole, Activision Blizzard’s mobile games generate slightly more revenue than other games, around 50.5% or USD 831 million.
Meanwhile, income from consoles and PCs continues to decline year over year. That is USD 376 million for consoles (down 23%) and USD 332 million (down 20%). Revenue from other sectors is around 6% or USD 100 million, coming from live events and broadcasts of esports matches.
Seeing this data, it is natural that publishers prioritize mobile games more. However, console and PC games are expected to continue to grow in 2022, as Activison Blizzard has three of their main money-making games ready for release, namely Overwatch 2, CoD Modern Warfare 2, and the Dragonflight expansion for World of Warcraft.
The future of console and PC games at Activision Blizzard is also predicted to be safe, especially as the acquisition by Microsoft continues, and Microsoft has Xbox and Windows as its flagship gaming platforms.
