Debut single Ben Narcis – “Appocalypse”

© Henry Redcliffe

Ben Narcis’s native country is Romania, but he was soon adopted by British parents and he actually spent his entire childhood in the United Kingdom. The man adopted the influences of the city of London in which he eventually grew up and already spent his entire adult life, which he now sculpts in the form of music. “Appocalypse” is the first song we hear from his solo project and from the first listen you can hear a lot of potential.

The debut lasts just under three minutes, but soon we are completely in the groove. The wonderful guitar line in combination with the dirty vocals create a unique atmosphere. Man’s criticism of technological dependence doesn’t even seem to get in this way. All we want to do is put our legs to work getting the moves going and joining in on the music. Narcis’s parlando seems to get more and more fierce after a while, but the melody lasts for a whole song. The combination of the two makes for a unique debut single and hopefully we’ll get to hear a lot more of this kind of music after “Appocalypse”.
