Cristiano Ronaldo is currently causing headaches at Manchester United. Now he is also being criticized by Liverpool icon Jamie Carragher.
Superstar Cristiano Ronaldo doesn’t make the headlines. After his stadium escape in the friendly against Rayo Vallecano, Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher of all people is now speaking up. The former Defender star slams CR7 for his behavior.
In the podcast “The Overlap”, the 44-year-old explains: “If you were to ask Erik ten Hag (Manchester United manager, note), I don’t think he wants him anymore. I’m not even sure that the dressing room from Manchester United still want Cristiano Ronaldo at the moment.”
“No one wants him”
“No other clubs in Europe want him right now – I might be wrong about that – so it doesn’t look like United can get rid of him,” continues the TV pundit.
Carragher does not understand that Ronaldo wants to leave his heart club because he has not qualified for the Champions League: “We all know that at a certain point in your career you are no longer the same player and your career lasted longer anyway because he was like that “He’s a great professional. But actually he’s 37 now, will be 38 this season and he’s not the same player anymore.”
