In the interview published yesterday in La Gazzetta dello Sport, Stefano Pioli released several interesting indications on what the new season will be, both from a technical-tactical point of view (with some ideas on the module and the variants to be used) and on the transfer market, from exploit for some new grafting in the last 23 days available.
What is needed
Nothing new in the words of the Rossoneri coach: “On paper, two roles are missing, the defender and the midfielder. We do not want to replace those who have left with doubles, also because another Kessie is not there. We need two characteristics: explosiveness and intelligence”. It was clear: Maldini and Massara, after the attacking midfielder and the striker, will look for a reserve central defender (Ndicka, Diallo and Tanganga the names of the moment) and a midfielder (Fofana, Sarr and others are among the welcome profiles).
Clear project
All done in a sustainable way: “Each club – explained Pioli – makes its own assessments: with a sustainable project we have shown that we can win. Above a certain level, I believe the club does not want and cannot get there. For sure I have never feared that the new ownership would arrive and sell the most important players: we were told at the outset that the philosophy would remain the same. ” Milan, therefore, will continue on the same line: looking for young and talented players, giving Pioli the right stuff to sew up the technical-tactical ideas (very clear) of the coach himself.
