The road in the section is temporarily closed
A serious accident between a bus with Romanian registration and a car with Dutch registration took place around 2:00 on the night of August 6 on the road Veliko Tarnovo – Ruse, in the section between the villages of Kutsina and Polikraishte.
According to initial reports, the bus, driven by a Turkish national, hit the passenger car, which was stopped at an emergency site, and then hit a tree. There were 3 dead and 9 injured, one of them with a severe brain injury, traveling on the bus. No passengers from the car were injured. The road in the section is temporarily closed. Police, fire and emergency teams are on the scene.
A total of 25 people traveled in the bus. The two drivers have been detained.
The section will remain closed until at least noon. Cars are diverted through Samovodene, Resen, Obedinenie and P. Trumbesh. The reasons are in the process of being clarified. Pre-trial proceedings have been initiated in the case. The investigation into the serious road accident will be taken over by investigators from the National Investigation Service. Later, investigators will arrive at the scene of the accident and conduct an additional inspection.
