Rapper indigo, known to the general public as film and theater actor Igor Shelegovski, has released his first single “The Wandering Dutchman” for his debut album “False Impression”, which is expected in August this year.
Actor Igors Shelegovskis, who goes by the stage name indigo in the hip-hop genre, has been writing songs since he was a teenager, but so far he has only shared it with a limited audience. In the near future, everyone will be able to hear indigo’s performance of the last two years, but already “The Wandering Dutchman” – his first single – is circulating on streaming services. It should be noted that the voice of the young artist Amanda Greenberg, who not only participated in the recording as a vocalist, but also participated in the development of the album’s concept and musical design, can also be heard.
“The song is about not fitting in and searching for your place, which is a difficult process, because when you are not at peace with yourself, no place can give you that peace. Although it’s not the album’s title track, it’s pretty much what the whole album is about, where I’m exploring that anxiety and all the consequences that I’ve been through,” says indigo. “Making music is not a new hobby for me, an experiment or a search for myself in a new art form: I grew up with hip-hop music, it’s my identity and the way I express myself best, so this album will be especially personal to me because it’s 100% me me.”
