Huge joy for the Podolski family: “Poldi” has announced sweet news.

Lukas Podolski and his family receive reinforcements. As the former 1. FC Köln striker announced on his Instagram page, “Poldi” will soon be a father for the third time.

“New transfer. Can’t wait to meet you,” Lukas Podolski wrote on his Instagram page on Friday morning (5 August). He also shared two photos showing his two children. With his wife Monika, the 37-year-old had son Louis in 2008 and daughter Maya in 2018.

And the gender of the new addition to the family is apparently already known. In the photos, the two children can be seen popping balloons with the words “Boy or Girl?” written on them. The pink confetti on the floor suggests that Louis and Maya are going to have a sister.

There are already numerous congratulations from fans under the post. Pietro Lombardi and former world-class striker Patrick Kluivert are among the first to congratulate.

Former international Lukas Podolski has been under contract with the Polish first division club Górnik Zabrze for a year. In May he extended it for another year. It should be his last as an active footballer. (red)
