Xbox has begun testing a family subscription for Game Pass

But so far only in Colombia and Ireland.

Earlier this year we wrote about a rumor that a family subscription might be coming to Game Pass. Now Xbox has announced the plans in the form of a blog postsannouncing that the subscription form is now available to Xbox Insiders in Ireland and Colombia.

They write that the subscription allows one to add up to four other players, which means five people per subscription. Those who choose to join will have their remaining subscription time converted, but since the family subscription is naturally more expensive, a full month of Game Pass Ultimate (SEK 135) will be converted into an 18-day family subscription.

This should mean that a month’s family subscription costs around 225 kroner, but it depends on this conversion being included in the official release of the subscription – it may just be a temporary conversion during the test phase. We also don’t know if the family subscription will even be made available everywhere or if it’s only intended for specific regions of the world.
