RESIDENTS are being asked to stay in their homes after a shooting broke out at an apartment complex.
Grundy County Sheriff Ken Bailey confirmed that an active investigation into the shooter is ongoing at the Morris, Illinois complex.
Authorities reportedly do not know the whereabouts of the shooter.
NBC’s Mike Lorber tweeted However, it has not been confirmed that several people were shot.
“This suspect is still at large and armed. Morris residents are being told to remain safe.
SWAT, the Morris Police Department and Grundy County Sheriff’s Deputy are at the scene.
Residents are asked to lock their doors and windows.
