There is no doubt that within the music industry, a lot of spectacular collaborations arise. From time to time, those bands and artists that we love blow our minds by getting together with other incredible musicians to give us unforgettable moments. Such is the case of The Strokes, who recently left the audience speechless by inviting none other than Eddie Vedder to the stage.
As you will remember, during this 2022, lhe New York band has toured much of the world to promote their latest record material, The New Abnormal. We even had the chance to see them three times in our country, when they were part of festivals like Tecate Pa’l Norte and Corona Capital Guadalajara, although they also gave a great show at the Foro Sol in CDMX along with The War on Drugs and Mac De Marco (over here We leave you the review of that concert).

The Strokes surprised everyone by inviting Eddie Vedder on stage
However, for now, The Strokes are on tour with the Red Hot Chili Peppers as one of the guest acts for the concerts that they are putting together in the United States and that have been joined by artists such as HAIM, Thundercat, Beck and many more. But on the most recent date they gave in Seattle, Julian Casablancas and company gave us an epic moment playing alongside Eddie Vedder himself.
It turns out that last August 3, the New York group took the stage at Seattle’s T-Mobile Park and taking advantage of the fact that the Pearl Jam frontman was back in the city after the tour that he ventured through Europe with his band, he went up to play a classic Julian Casablancas, Albert Hammond Jr., Nick Valensi, Fabrizio Moretti and Nikolai Fraiture, the mighty “Juicebox” that with Eddie’s voice it sounded just brutal. Here is a video of their collaboration.
In accordance with Consequence of Sound, Eddie Vedder has described this track as one of his favorite songs.. He earlier he remembered that told The Strokes frontman how much he loved the song and how Julian blushed and admitted he took a part of it from Pearl Jam’s “Not for You”. “I had no idea, I haven’t really heard it yet (speaking of the snippet)… I think it’s totally original. Every time I can play it with them, I am more than happy”said Vedder, who had already gotten on top to sing this song with the band on several occasions, most recently at Ohana Fest in 2019.
