Bodman-Ludwigshafen: Progress is being made: A first section of the B34 construction site is being asphalted

Just recently, Bodman-Ludwigshafen’s mayor Matthias Weckbach announced at a municipal council meeting that he was hoping for the B 34 to be completed in June. Now there is more news about the construction work on the road: As the Bodman-Ludwigshafen building authority announced in a press release, the construction site is largely on schedule. It also provided precise data on the upcoming asphalting work in the section between the junction to Bodman and the Schachenhorn campsite.

It starts on March 29th

According to the responsible construction company Schleith, the top and binder layers of the existing asphalt surfaces between Espasingen and the campsite are to be milled off today, Tuesday, March 29, from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. The campsite can then only be reached from Ludwigshafen. On Thursday, March 31st, the preparation of the access road to the campsite for the installation of the surface will follow. The work takes place from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., the campsite is then only very limited and again only accessible from Ludwigshafen.

On the same day from 3 p.m. until Friday, April 1, around 4 p.m., the driveway to the campsite will be sprayed with adhesive and thus prepared for the asphalt paving. This follows afterwards. The campsite is not accessible during this time, it is not possible for vehicles to exit and enter. Only from 4 p.m. and until Monday, April 4, at around 6 a.m., the campsite is restricted again and can only be reached from the direction of Ludwigshafen. Afterwards, the campsite will not be accessible again, since a new layer of asphalt will be laid on the B 34 by Wednesday, April 6th at 5 p.m. and then has to cool down for 24 hours.

Residents will be allowed to drive again from April 11th

Final work to complete the B 34 in this area, including marking work and the installation of delineators, will be carried out from Thursday, April 7 at 7 a.m. to Monday, April 11 at 10 a.m. After that, the B 34 in the direction of Espasingen will be released again for local traffic.
