This “Thursday, the high temperatures persist over a good part of the country with temperatures often greater than or equal to 35°C at the hottest in the afternoon. We are still expecting up to 39°C from the south-west to the Rhône Valley”, announces Meteo France.

In detail, it will be particularly hot in Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes with in particular 37 ° C expected in Valence and Lyon. In the Northeast, the 35°C mark is also often exceeded. For example, we note 36 ° C expected in Vesoul, Mulhouse, Strasbourg or Nancy. Locally, the 40°C mark could be approached or even reached.

Occitania is not left out. Météo France announces 37°C in Castres, but also 36°C in Alès, Cahors or Montauban. Like the day before, we will breathe a little better near the coast with 31°C in Montpellier and 29°C in Perpignan.

The situation should then gradually normalize throughout the country, except for the south-eastern quarter where high temperatures will persist in places.
