From mid-September, works by the Roman graffiti artist Mauro Pallotta alias Maupal on Pope Francis will be shown in Assisi. As the Minorite Convent in Assisi announced on Tuesday, various pictures of Pallotta will be on display in the square in front of the basilica from September 15th to November 6th.
A banner as an announcement
A banner was installed to mark the announcement, showing Francis in a white cassock and hardhat, spraying the words “Fratelli tutti” on a fictitious wall. The Pope signed his eponymous encyclical on a brotherly world in Assisi in October 2020. Maupal became known soon after Francis took office with pictures showing the pope as an alternative superman.
