Spotify remains the most popular streaming service in the world. Despite the growth of alternatives such as Apple Music, YouTube Music or Tidal, Spotify continues to be the favorite of millions.
Music, and how you listen to it, should always be under your control. Aware of this, Spotify wants you to decide from the moment you click on “play” how you want to listen to your favorite playlists or albums.
Spotify puts Shuffle button next to Play for Premium subscribers
To make this choice even more obvious and simple, Spotify is improving the listening experience by separating the Shuffle and Play button for Spotify Premium users. Below you can see what the new look will be.
This separation will allow Premium subscribers to choose the mode they prefer at the top of the playlists and albums and listen in the way that suits them best. If you prefer Shuffle mode or prefer to listen in order of artist, now the choice is more at hand.
Over the next few weeks, this update will reach premium users on Android and iOS smartphones. So stay tuned for the next updates of this app, the change is coming soon.
In case you didn’t know, non-paying Spotify users can count on “any playlist with the shuffle icon will play shuffle”. However, “some playlists don’t have the shuffle icon, so you can tap any song to play it.”
