“Countries that can still expand, including Indonesia. The probability of a recession between Indonesia and India is still low,” said Airlangga in the Mid Year Economic Outlook for Bisnis Indonesia, Tuesday (2/8/2022).
However, the public also deserves to remain careful and smart in choosing their investment instruments among the range of available products. Investment Specialist at PT Manulife Aset Manajemen Indonesia, Dimas Ardhinugraha, said that there are several investment tips in the midst of the current recession.
“In the midst of very dynamic market conditions, it is very important for investors to have a diversified portfolio to minimize risk and volatility. Review the risk profile and asset allocation of your portfolio,” said Dimas in his statement, quoted Tuesday (2/8/2022).
Furthermore, Dimas said, make sure to have a mix of investment instruments that have elements of long-term growth as well as instruments with a conservative risk profile to maintain portfolio volatility.
“In mutual funds, there are options available for investors to adjust to their respective risk profiles. There are equity mutual funds that provide elements of long-term growth, as well as fixed income and money market mutual funds that can provide an element of stability to your portfolio,” he added. .
Meanwhile, Dimas explained that there are several other instruments that can be used, one of which is stocks. He explained that expectations for the recovery of the domestic economy were a positive catalyst for the Indonesian stock market.
“This is because better economic conditions will encourage improvements in the financial performance of Indonesian issuers, especially after 2 years of pandemic conditions that suppressed their performance,” said Dimas.
