On July 26, 2022, OPPO re-introduced its first NPU, MariSilicon X. The premium NPU MariSilicon X for the first time was embedded by OPPO on the flagship Find X5 Pro.
MariSilicon X was created with the aim of helping the imaging process on OPPO smartphone devices to be much better, faster but still energy efficient.

The premium NPU MariSilicon X will now be presented by OPPO on its latest device, Reno8 Pro 5G. This has been confirmed through several uploads of OPPO Indonesia’s official account on Instagram social media which presents a Reno8 Pro 5G camera cut with the words “Powered By MariSilicon”.
“Previously, the MariSilicon X premium NPU was specifically only for flagship devices, such as the OPPO Find X5 Pro. However, with OPPO’s commitment and passion to be able to present its latest technology to various smartphone classes so that it can be enjoyed by everyone, MariSilicon X will also be embedded in the Reno8 Pro 5G device which will soon be officially introduced in Indonesia, “said PR Manager OPPO Indonesia Aryo Meidianto A, in an official statement by OPPO Indonesia, Monday (1/8/2022).
According to Aryo, the presence of the MariSilicon X NPU also confirms the position of the Reno8 series which has advantages, especially on the camera side.
“Indeed, the Reno series has always put forward two things, camera features and device design,” said Aryo.
Aryo claims, the Reno series line always presents some unique camera features and applies the latest technology, such as 10x Hybrid Zoom, Reno 10x Zoom, ultra steady video technology on OPPO Reno2 to embedding AI algorithms into sensors developed with IMX 709 on OPPO Reno7.
“Reno8 Pro 5G itself will be equipped with various camera features with better night recording capabilities. This is in accordance with the brief description of the short video upload on the OPPO Indonesia Instagram account: the memorable night camera feature on the OPPO Reno8 Pro 5G,” said Aryo.
