In the long run, if the overall quality of the food we eat decreases, how will that affect public health?
“Low-quality food is not good for health, but one thing I see is that we need to change those habits, because our bodies are incredibly economical. We can eat less! Many of us are overweight, this is a great way to save!” Jānis Zaržeckis, a plastic surgeon, expresses his opinion in the TV24 program “Press Club”.
Advise
If people ate less, it would be possible to buy better quality food.
“Better less and good food than bad and a lot!” he suggests.
Another societal problem is buying and throwing away too much food.
“The principles of changing habits are already simple, but they are not easy. My third advice, never eat when you don’t want to!” Zaržeckis indicates.
