“Sommerhytta”: – Reveals a new job

It is no secret that the TV 2 programme “Summer cottage” has become a viewer success over the years. Here, four different couples will fight to build their dream cabin – which they will eventually also win if they climb to the top of the competition.

Now the sixth season in a row has already passed, and after ten bone-chilling weeks it was finally over adopted couple Sara Meyer Boudaya (27) and Ibrahim Mahnin (29) who ran away with the given prize.

Se og Hør has now, of course, made contact with the former participant couple Christine Kirkhorn (27) and Adrian Middelthon (26) to hear what’s new since the last time.

– Extremely much time

After the recording of the fifth season ended, Kirkhorn can tell Se og Hør, among other things, that she no longer works as a real estate agent, and has now found a new job.

– I got a new job. Now I work with pre-emption rights full-time, which I really enjoy. It is a rewarding job to be able to call people with only good news, she says.

Although the 27-year-old looks back on “Sommerhytta” as a memorable time, she has not started any more renovation projects since taking part.

– I haven’t done any kind of renovation since recording. But now that quite a while has passed, it doesn’t bother me as much as it did at first, she says.

However, Kirkhorn does not hide the fact that it can turn around.

– Maybe there will be some projects in the future, she says.

Nor has Middelthon, her former teammate, been tempted to start another renovation project since the program. He is completely focused on one thing in particular.

– Now that I’ve got our season a little further away, I’m glad I won’t be building any more cabins. But I enjoyed the TV bit itself enormously and not least spending a whole summer with Christine, he admits.

– Regular participants

Both Kirkhorn and Middelthon have followed this year’s season which rolled across the TV screens earlier this year. When asked what thoughts they have about the season, the former replies:

– I have seen most of this year’s season. It was fun to see this year’s “Sommerhytta”, there were very good and apparently even participants this year, both in terms of age and skill,

NOT PLEASED: Adrian and Christine received a present from Anna and Jone in “Sommerhytta”, but were not very happy. Video: TV 2

Like Kirkhorn, Middelthon also shares several of the same thoughts about this year’s season.

– What I thought was incredibly fun to see in this season was that they have selected even couples to participate, that must have made the experience unique and fun for the participants, he believes, while heentering his own season:

– As everyone knows, it was a different flavor that was left with some of us participants who stood up to it all in season five.

As is known, there were several of the participants, especially Middelthon and Kirkhorn, which reacted that it was Kurt Rasmussen (50) and Veronica Johansen Rasmussen (27) who ran away with the victory.

The reason was that they thought Kurt had far more knowledge about renovation than what appeared on TV, and that the season had been cut so that it looked like he was on the same level as the rest of the participants.

Kurt on his side rejected the criticism from the other participants. He stated that he had no professional experience as either a carpenter or a carpenter.

– We think the criticism from the other participants is sad, and believe that it is not justified. I have no professional experience with carpentry and construction. I am a trained bookbinder, and have never had other jobs than this, he said to Se og Hør about the final row last summer.

How TV 2 responded to the criticism, on behalf of the production company Strix, you can read at the bottom of this the article.

Then See and Hear was in contact with last year’s winning couple a little earlier this summerby the way, Kurt and Veronica compared this year’s season to their own in this way:

– We think this year’s pair have been incredibly positive throughout the season, which we experienced as a little different in our own season. We simply think there was a bit too much complaining and negativity from certain participants.

– Nobody wanted to go to bed

Christine Kirkhorn can also tell Se og Hør what she remembers best from her own season.

– I remember particularly well the last evening before the weekly finale where we prepared the kitchen, then all couples got that far after we asked the production if we could work all night. We were told that we could only work until 03.00 and start again at 06.00, she reveals.

She follows up:

– Then all the couples agreed to meet on the terrace of Trine and Trude (participant couple from season five, journ.anm.) at 3.00 sharp, have a few beers and wait for 6 o’clock, so that we could start again. No one wanted to go to bed because it would have been too difficult to wake up again. It was a nice night!

When asked what her best memory is, she has no doubts.

– The best memory was probably when me and Adrian finally won a jacuzzi as the last couple, and we got to bathe a little every night before going to bed. And of course getting a gold hammer, that was great. And it was very nice to see how happy Trine and Trude were for the homemade gold hammer from us too.
