The Minister of Agrarian Development and Irrigation, Andrés Alencastre, pointed out that between today and tomorrow there could be a response from Agro Rural on the urea acquisition process.
“We have carried out a new scheme for international purchases (of urea), with the support of the MEF, the Foreign Ministry and a group of organizations; we hope that between today or tomorrow, we will have a response from Agro Rural about the results of the acquisition process”ad.

In that sense, he specified that the publication of the Emergency Decree No. 019-2022carried out yesterday in the legal regulations gazette, has as its main objective to expand the process of purchase and distribution of urea to benefit the greatest number of farmers, who have registered in the Register of Agricultural Producers (PPA), which to date has registered more than 435,000 producers nationwide.
Alencastre reaffirmed that from the second half of August the distribution of nitrogenous fertilizer (urea) will begin for small producers who drive less than five hectares, in order to guarantee the fertilization of crops and the 2022-2023 agricultural campaign.
“Then, from the second fortnight of August the distribution begins and it will continue during September, right. In addition, the only thing we do is generate preventive conditions of reasoning to anticipate any situation that can cause a bottleneck to overcome them”, narrowed down
He also said that the expedition of the D.U. 019-2022 it is done to extend the deadlines to provide greater coverage of the PPA and can reach the greatest number of producers in the field, “for this reason the registration process in the PPA has been extended until December 15 of this year.”

In the same way, the head of Midagri reiterated that the urea will be destined for farmers of less than five hectares that use said fertilizer on their crops. “This Emergency Decree 019-2022 is to attend with all the guarantees, to this sector of small farmers, who are included in this land tenure”, pointed out.
Bonus payment
On the other hand, the minister said that the aforementioned decree was also issued to extend the collection of the Wanuchay bonus of S / 350 until December 31 of this year for producers of less than two hectares, because according to the previous rule, said term expired yesterday, July 31.
“We are enabling (the payment of the Wanuchay bonus) to be able to reach that 75% of producers who have not yet received the S/ 350 subsidy. But, I reiterate, it is a bonus for producers of less than 2 hectares, that is why we are reactivating (the payment before the offices of the Banco de la Nación) and thus a greater number of producers can benefit within this new term “he expressed.
