Missed flights and long lines due to crowds at Schiphol | Abroad

Schiphol warns on its own site for “peak crowds”. The airport advises travelers to arrive on time, but no earlier than four hours before the departure of their flight, as this leads to extra crowds.

Schiphol has been struggling with problems for some time due to staff shortages at security and handlers. Last month, airlines had to severely limit the amount of passengers traveling through Schiphol to keep the situation manageable.
