Caught in a spectacular fall during the scratch of the Commonwealth Games this Sunday, Matthew Walls was the victim of a terrible crash.
The 24-year-old track rider, wanting to avoid the bulk of the peloton on the ground, swerved to the top of the ring to finish his race beyond the barriers, in the public.
Immediately taken to hospital, like his compatriot Matt Bostock, the British cyclist was conscious during his evacuation. Spectators were also injured in the crash.
