The JET brand is probably unknown to 99% of French motorists, but it has 687 gas stations in Germany, where it is consequently very popular. Jet also exists in Austria, as in the United Kingdom, they have in all some 1600 stations in Europe. This Jet network belongs to the American group Philips 66and in partnership with H2 Energy Europethey have just announced a vast plan in favor of hydrogen.
The objective, for 2026, is the opening of 250 hydrogen stations. They will be located on the major axes, to meet the needs of motorists, as well as those of heavy transport. These stations will be in 3 countries. In Germany, Austria and Denmark. Of course, 250 stations for 3 countries doesn’t seem like much, but it’s a good start! Mainly for heavy transport, where storing energy in batteries seriously impacts the payload of the vehicle, hydrogen appears to be a good solution.
