Wales –
Prince of Wales Charles Philip Arthur George reportedly received money worth $ 1.2 million or Rp 18 billion from the family Osama Bin Laden. The money was received two years after Osama Bin Laden died.
As reported by the BBC news agency, Monday (1/8/2022), the millions of dollars were received in 2013. The Prince of Wales Charitable Fund (PWCF) is said to have received the donation.
Clarence House said it had been assured by the PWCF that “thorough due diligence” had been carried out, and the decision to accept the money rested with the trustees.

“Any attempt to characterize it otherwise is wrong,” he told the BBC.
According to the report, Prince Charles received money directly from Bakr Bin Laden, who heads a wealthy Saudi family, and Bakr’s brother, Shafiq, after a meeting with Bakr at Clarence House.
“He took the money despite objections from advisers at Clarence House and the PWCF,” the Sunday Times reported, citing multiple sources.
However, Sir Ian Cheshire, chairman of PWCF, told the paper that the 2013 donation had been approved and carefully considered by five trustees at the time.
“The decision to accept the donation was taken entirely by the trustees. Any attempt to suggest otherwise is misleading and inaccurate,” the source continued.
PWCF provides grants to UK registered non-profit organizations to deliver projects in the UK, Commonwealth and overseas.
