“Of course we should score full points in front of our fans. However, it is important for us that we did not lose in the first match. We have something to bounce back from,” reflected Dostál after the match.

He didn’t have too much work in the opening match, but in the 65th minute, when Škoda from Boleslav found themselves in a tight spot, he kept his team up significantly with an excellent save. “Somehow the ball fell to him. I tried to approach the opponent’s attacker quickly to reduce his shooting angle as much as possible. I succeeded, I hit the ball with my outer instep,” rejoices Dostála. “Given the course of the match, the goal is probably deserved,” she says.

The people of Zlín gave a much better performance against the Central Bohemian team than in the messed up general meeting with the second division Prostějov. Although they did not manage to win, they worked the duel with maximum effort. “If I compare it with last week, it was a hundred to one,” compared the experienced goalkeeper.

Dostal does not hide that he was a little worried about the match due to the persistent rain. “Fortunately, it stopped raining about half an hour before the start. The water has drained from the playground. During the morning warm-up, however, there were still puddles on it,” he revealed.
–
After a break, the heavy rain started again. “However, the lawn soaked up the water decently, with some exceptions. However, one had to be careful with every movement. The sod flew away from the football boots, it was not possible to let up for a moment in concentration. In the wet, the balloon is much faster,” explained Dostál, how he coped with the pitfalls of the challenging terrain.
–
He thus continued his solid form from the summer training period. And it doesn’t matter that last season he lost his position as the number one goalkeeper of Zlín footballers due to injury. “I’m very happy that I’ve been trusted now, and I’m catching,” says Dostál.

His team now faces more difficult battles. In the upcoming league rounds, Ševci travel to Slavia and Ostrava to Baník, who will have to make amends for their opening home defeat against Olomouc. “Of course it will be very difficult. But it turns out that surprises happen especially at the beginning of the season. We’ll try some too. Everything is possible, we are definitely not throwing a flint in the hay ahead. We will go to the matches to relax,” he plans.
