Sukoharjonews.com – Motorola is gearing up to launch a new flagship device in markets around the world. The devices are the Motorola Edge 30 Ultra (for the global market) and the Motorola Edge X30 Pro for the China market. The device is scheduled to launch in China on August 2 at 7:30 p.m. (local time).
Design & display
So far, the leaked renders of the Motorola Edge X30 Pro reveal its design from every angle. The device has a flat back with curved edges on both sides. The top and back of the device have flat edges. The back features a rectangular camera module with one large camera cutout and two small cutouts.
The right side of the Edge X30 has the power button and volume rocker while the bottom houses the USB-C port, speaker grill and SIM slot.
The smartphone screen will be a 6.73-inch pOLED display that produces Full HD + resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate. It will feature a curved edge panel with a punch-hole design. The device will be equipped with an in-display fingerprint sensor.
Specification
Under the hood, the smartphone will carry the latest Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset manufactured on TSMC’s 4nm node. The new chipset promises a 7% CPU and 10% GPU performance increase compared to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 in Edge X30 while being 30% more energy efficient.
The device is expected to come with up to 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage. The battery will have a capacity of 4,500mAh and offer support for 125W fast charging.
Camera
What makes this device special is its camera settings. All of them are confirmed to feature a 200-megapixel Samsung ISOCELL HP1 main camera sensor that measures 1/1.22″. The sensor features the all-new ChameleonCell technology, a pixel-binning technology that uses a two-by-two, four-by-four, or full pixel layout depending on the environment. It can shoot 8K video at 30fps with minimum loss in field of view.
The HP1 combines four neighboring pixels to lower the resolution to 50MP to capture 8K video without the need to crop or reduce the full image resolution. In low light environments, the HP1 transforms into a 12.5 megapixel image sensor with 2.56μm large pixels by combining 16 neighboring pixels, which is able to absorb more light and sensitivity, and produce brighter and clearer photos. However, in bright outdoor environments, the sensor can capture ultra-high definition photos.
In addition to the main sensor, the Edge X30 Pro will also feature a 50-megapixel sensor and a 12-megapixel sensor on the back. It can be used for ultra wide cameras and telephoto cameras. On the front, the device is said to feature a 60-megapixel selfie shooter.
Price
Not much is known about the device in terms of price, but it is confirmed that the starting price of the device will be over 3,000 yuan. (nano)
