The only goal of the match was scored in the 27th minute, by Mosquito, after an excellent individual initiative. This was the third consecutive victory for Vítor Pereira’s team, which maintains second place, now with 38 points, four behind Palmeiras.
Botafogo suffered the fifth defeat in the last six rounds of the Brasileirão and, with 24 points, is in 12th place in the table.
