Hoy Saturday 30 and tomorrow Sunday 31 July Vaccination day continues influenza and COVID-19 in Metropolitan Lima and Callao from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm; however, again there will be no 36 hours of vaccination.
According to the Ministry of Health (Minsa), 26 vaccination clinics will be opening to the public throughout Metropolitan Lima at this time. A service schedule was also arranged only from 7:00 am to 4:00 pm, which will include 3 vaccinations.
On the other hand, a total of 8 inoculation centers will only attend from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., while there will also be vaccination centers only for Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Below are the places and referred times:
Fourth dose for those over 30 years of age
The Minister of Health, Jorge López Peña, announced that as of July 14, people over 30 years of age can already receive the fourth dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, provided that 5 months have passed after receiving the third.
“The committee of experts has evaluated and after seeing that in the third dose we have exceeded 60%, it has been decided to lower the age range to 30 years for the application of the fourth dose,” reported the head of the Minsa.
He also indicated that so far there have been no numbers of infected people as well as the start of the third wave of the pandemic. “There is not yet a peak of infections and we have not yet reached what was the beginning of the third wave. We have an increase in cases and there are small plateaus of infections, ”said the official.
What is the schedule?
The Minsa reported that the inoculation day for these two days (Saturday, July 23 and Sunday, July 24) will be from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm, except that some will close hours before (see paragraphs above). This time there will not be 36 uninterrupted hours of vaccination.
Who can be vaccinated?
For children from 5 to 11 years old
The Ministry of Health reported that girls and boys from 5 to 11 years old, with or without comorbidities, can be inoculated against COVID-19. They must attend with a parent or guardian.
For over 18 years
People over 18 years of age who come to be vaccinated must bring their ID, double mask or a KN95 and optionally with a face shield. Those who attend for their second dose must bring the card received in the first vaccination.
For teens ages 12-17
In the case of minors between 12 and 17 years of age, adolescents must go to be vaccinated in the company of an adult so that they sign the informed consent.
third dose
People aged 12 to 17 (who received the second dose 5 months ago) together with those over 18, can now go to vaccination centers and health establishments for the inoculation of the booster dose.
fourth dose
Population older than 30 years. This group of the population must have received the third dose more than 5 months ago in order to be inoculated with the fourth dose.
